Poughkeepsie celebrates arts and culture throughout the year at its museums, galleries, theaters and alternative spaces with art exhibitions, performances, dance, music and other special events. In addition, Poughkeepsie has over 30 murals, 70 sculptures, many historic sites and fine dining establishments throughout the city and town. Most openings fall on the third Saturday of each month, also known as Art Hop. Free guides and maps are available at participating locations.
