Third Weekend Art Walks celebrate the arts throughout the year. Galleries have receptions and open houses from Friday nights through Sunday afternoons every month. The Towns of Rhinebeck & Red Hook (including the Village of Tivoli) offer a variety of art events, many within walking distance of each other: art galleries, historic sites, local theater & dance, live music, book- signings, and wine-tastings. Seasonal arts and cultural events include: Bard’s CCS-Hessel Museum (year-round); Art Studio Views Tour (Labor Day Weekend); and Sinterklaas (First Saturday in Deember). Brochures and maps are available at each town’s Chamber of Commerce Information Booths and each venue. 2013 celebrates the 10th anniversary of Art Along the Hudson.

Many thanks to the Rhinebeck & Red Hook arts community for hosting such a successful Art Along the Hudson 10th Anniversary Celebration. The talks at the High School Auditorium by Senator Terry Gibson, cartoonist Liza Donnelly, and County Executive Marc Molinaro were inspiring. AAH’s chairperson Linda Hubbard encouraged each community to embrace the arts and Hudson Valley. The Courtyard was packed with several hundred people to see the juried exhibit (continuing at Betsy Jacaruso Gallery thru June 1st) and taste the delicious food & drink donated by restaurants and shops throughout the two villages. Congratulations also go to Montgomery Row for receiving the Dutchess County Arts Council 2011 award for Business Support of the arts.
