Peekskill’s 14th Annual Open Studios

See work by more than 100 artists and 13 special exhibitions in galleries, museums, and other venues. Come meet the artists and see the creative process at work first hand with visits to over 40 artists’ private studios. The range of art will include traditional and contemporary, paintings, sculpture, video arts, photograph, installation pieces, ceramics, prints, drawings, and silk paintings.

Mark your calendars for the 4th Annual Northern Dutchess Art Studio Views over Labor Day Weekend, September 3-4, 2011. Featuring 25+ artists throughout Hyde Park, Rhinebeck, Red Hook, Clinton Corners, and Tivoli. A rare opportunity to visit artists in their working environment.

Beacon Open Studios

Beacon Open Studios is the most important art event that happens in Beacon. On the 4th weekend in September, over 60 artists make their work available for a rare glimpse into the workings of some of the most interesting artists in the Hudson Valley. Painters, sculptors, installation artists, and more will be showing new and old work in a celebration of this unique artist’s community. Beacon Open Studios is self-guided tours to art spaces all over town, some of which only exist for the Open Studios weekend.

September 10 - Beacon Second Saturday Kickoff Exhibition: Hudson Beach Glass and RiverWinds Gallery - featuring a single work from each of the participating artists.

September 23 - Kickoff Party -The weekend of art begins with the annual Kickoff Party on Friday September 23rd from 7-10pm. Everyone is invited to come and mingle, enjoy a beverage and have a great time at the Kickoff Party located in the gallery of the Kickoff Show at Hudson Beach Glass 162 Main St.

September 24 & 25 All studios will be open from noon-6pm Saturday and Sunday.

Cold Spring/Garrison Open Studio Art Tour

Cold Spring/Garrison will be having its first Open Studio Art Tour comprised of 33 artists. 
On Oct. 1st & 2nd, 2011, from 12pm-6pm, 33 professional artists of national and international renown will open their studios to the public for a self guided tour of Cold Spring and Garrison.  These artist work in ceramics, glass, painting, video, installation, printmaking and sculpture.  It is a weekend full of events including Individual Art Studios; Simon Drapers' temporary habitat studios at Hudson Highlands; Collaborative Concepts' Sculpture walk at Saunders Farm; Garrison Art Centers' PHOTOcentric exhibit.  A preview exhibit and party will kick off the weekend on Friday, Sept. 30th from 5-8 pm at Philipstown.Info and The Living Room, 69 Main St. & 103 Main St., Cold Spring, NY.  For a tour map and more info go to www.ColdSpringArts.com, email coldspringarts@gmail.com, or call Barbara 845-265-3618.

ArtEast Open Studios is the largest art event in eastern Dutchess, following the Route 22 corridor from Pawling to Millerton and taking place over two weekends in October.

Orange County Arts Council-Open Studio Tour Weekend

Open Studio Tour Opening Reception: Friday, October 21 from 6-8pm
Open Studio Tour-South: Saturday, October 22 & Sunday, October 23
Visual artists and performing art studios from Warwick, Florida, Goshen, Sugar Loaf, Chester, Monroe, Highland Mills, Cornwall, Blooming Grove, Newburgh and Rock Tavern will be opening their studios and providing a rare opportunity for the public to observe artists up close and personal during their creative process from start to finish. It is the Arts Council’s desire that the Open Studio Tour will open up the world of artists to everyone – from students to the seasoned collector to the first-time art buyer or observer, to the curious general public. We believe that through education, visitors become loyal customers and supporters of art and that this program will grow over the years. The Open Studio Tour-South Opening Reception is a Free event to the public and will be held at the Seligmann Estate, 23 White Oak Dr. Sugar Loaf
